It is been a while since I scribbled something. Well life became busy with long working hours and other assignments which left me with no time to write. And anyways whatever posts I had written earlier, it was on something which I connected to my heart. And frankly speaking nothing motivated me to write all this while.
Well I was going through a roller coaster ride and badly wanted to run away...A break.. To rejuvenate myself.. to rediscover myself to what I wanted and what the hell I was doing with my life... To undertake such a soul searching journey one had to embark upon a solo trip.. And the kind of girl I am I would be the last one to undertake one.. My last efforts of doing so had failed miserably.. So this time I took it up a challenge. The safest bet was Haridwar as it was near to Delhi and the best destination which gelled with my objective.
So, I did my last minutes tickets and through a friend of mine booked a hotel on the banks of the river. I looked forward to my first solo trip.
Haridwar is one place I love to come back again and again, especially the mighty Ganges evokes the spiritual aspect of mine and I look forward for the Ganga Arti at Har ki Paudi. As the evening dawned, I traversed along the lanes and byelanes of the Har ki Paudi area. Strolling along, I observed the naga sadhus high on drugs, the pandas trying to woo the tourists, the huge crowd thronged at the ghat. It was a different perspective I was seeing these things.
The ganga arti was mersmerising, as always. The whole Ganges lit up with the lamps always remains etched in my heart. But my moment was yet to come. After the arti, as the crowd dispersed, I continued sitting at the ghat and started meditating on Ma Ganga. The still water had a different effect upon me. My whole body was vibrating and I could sense her energies. And then I saw her in her beauty and elegance.
I could still there for hours. My fears had dissipated of being alone. I returned to my room and sat in my balcony for hours. I took the courage not to make the external journey but made a journey to my inside, which was long pending.
I felt so much at peace and more important I got answer to my questions that I should be breaking the walls which I myself made in my mind and around myself.
