In the silent full moon night
Me the lone wanderer in the boat across the holy Ganges
The deep silence of the night is broken sometimes by the roar of the gushing water,
Or the gentle humming of the boatman
This is the journey I always wanted to embark
Traversing across the holy river in the midnight silence
The flares of the burning pyres on the other side of the bank
Offers a mesmerizing sight
As the boat touches the burning ghats
Fires and smell of death surrounding the air
Enticing me into their arms

A thin line dividing life and death
This is the ultimate journey which i always wanted to embark
